Call for Submissions: Future Café Post-X #2

Do you spend excessive hours staring at the ceiling thinking about what the future holds? What you’ll be doing in 10, 20, 100 years? Does doomscrolling occupy a huge part of your life, and are you looking for a chance to contribute to a collective project attempting to imagine utopian futures?

On and off. Work hard, play hard. That’s the theme. This quarter’s Future Café sessions take as their subjects “Boredom” and “Work,” inviting discussion of how a utopian world of the distant future might think about these two topics. For the second iteration of our Future Café zine, Post-X, we’re sending out an open call for submissions from any University of Chicago undergraduate who wants to contribute something related to these ideas! We’re looking for contributions of short writing, artworks, or any combination thereof, and particularly welcome experimental formats. You can view the first issue of Post-X here.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 1. Send your completed work to postxzine@gmail.com along with a short bio. Feel free to reach out to the Future Café coordinators, Jack Demchak and Livia Miller, with any questions: jcdemchak@uchicago.edu & lm99@uchicago.edu.
