Future Café is a student-organized series that provides the opportunity and space for undergraduates to collectively imagine utopian possibilities and long-term futures. University of Chicago College students, please join us for our next meeting to discuss the future of the university over pizza, guacamole, and chips.

The structure, content, and medium of education are all reflections of contemporary society. How will universities embody evolving social norms, political ideologies, scientific advancements, digital environment, and other aspects of our society in the long-term future? What impact will AI have on the production of knowledge and even our conception of knowledge, learning, and understanding? Will the humanities make a comeback, will higher education continue shifting its focus toward STEM fields, or will we have an entirely new range of disciplines? What roles will government and private industry play in the university of the future?

This event is free and open to all University of Chicago undergraduate students; registration is recommended.
