Joseph Masco (Anthropology, UChicago) examines the Edward Snowden revelations and works through some ethnographic materials he has collected at the National Security Agency. The conceptual project is to consider how the democratic state form can coexist with a total surveillance project, as well as document the revolutionary impact of the War on Terror on the security state apparatus after 2001.
