Charif Kiwan is Co-founder of the collective Abounaddara, an independent film production company based in Damascus that brings together a number of self-taught filmmakers involved in emergency cinema. Following the screening of creative and experimental films about the uprising in Syria, Kiwan will discuss the challenges of documenting violence in crisis areas.
A small reception will follow.
