In this final volume of a trilogy examining the fate of cinema studies as a field of contemporary humanistic inquiry, Rodowick extends his critique of the role of theory in the arts and humanities. Arguing that the problematic existence of theory becomes the possibility of a philosophy of the humanities, Rodowick here provides a blueprint of what that philosophy might look like.

This event is co-sponsored by the Seminary Co-op Bookstore.
