Save the Date: 3CT 20th Anniversary Conference
Twenty years ago, in the spring of 2004, a group of seven faculty members from the Divisions of the Social Sciences and Humanities established the Chicago Center for Contemporary Theory. The collective’s public-facing activity commenced with a series of events throughout winter 2005: Titled Conversations in Contemporary Theory, these seminars set the stage for the ambitious, far-reaching program of interdisciplinary collaboration that has unfolded over the subsequent two decades.
Please save the date and join us for our 3CT twentieth anniversary conference and celebration, which will take place April 10–11, 2025.
Featuring 3CT fellows in dialogue with longstanding friends and collaborators of the center, this convening will consider the urgency of theory for understanding the contemporary moment, how approaches to theorizing the present have shifted since our founding, and how we might dispense with familiar categories to unsettle our own thinking.
