Call for Proposals: 3CT Graduate Student Online Conference
3CT invites proposals for a graduate student-organized conference to be held online during Winter quarter weeks 6-8 (February 8-26, 2021).
We seek proposals from individual students or groups on any themes that reflect 3CT’s commitments to theorizing the present and to interdisciplinarity. We particularly welcome proposals that consider current global events and concerns—for example, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement, the fight against climate change, etc.
This organizing opportunity is open to all graduate students currently enrolled at the University of Chicago. Conference presenters may be graduate students at any institution.
3CT staff will work with organizers of the selected conference to coordinate and publicize the virtual event, and we can offer up to $1,000 towards related costs.
- Proposals should include the following:
- Name(s) of organizer(s)
- Conference title
- Conference abstract (maximum 500 words)
- Suggested date(s) (to be confirmed in consultation with 3CT)
- Format and names of potential presenters
Send completed proposals to Anna Searle Jones, 3CT Associate Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, October 19. Please contact Anna with any questions or to discuss your proposal ahead of the deadline.
