Prof. Himadri Pakrasi is the George William and Irene Koechig Freiberg Professor, School of Arts & Sciences and also a Professor in the Department of Biology. His interests include: systems biology, photosynthesis and metal homeostasis. He is the director of two large-scale, multi-institutional, systems biology projects (NSF-FIBR and PNNL Grand Challenge). Dr. Pakrasi is the recipient of several prestigious awards including fellowships from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the 
Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Munich and the Biosciences Institute, Nagoya University, Japan.
