Now in its fourth year, the Chicago Center for Contemporary Theory was created in 2004 by a core group of seven faculty members from Anthropology, English, History, and Political Science. In 2006 an eighth faculty member was added to the group. 3CT brings together scholars from different disciplines, institutions, and world regions to participate in a variety of projects and activities, including graduate seminars, workshops, conferences, and symposia.

The Center occupies Wilder House on the edge of the University of Chicago campus. Our mailing address is 5811 S. Kenwood Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637. It houses the offices of the Faculty Fellows, the Center Administrator, and visiting researchers. While many of the Center’s activities are held in the seminar room at Wilder House, lectures and other large events are held elsewhere on campus.
